Traveling to Hilton Head

Whether you're looking to relax on the beach, enjoy outdoor adventures, or explore local culture, Hilton Head Island is a wonderful place to visit from Palmetto Bluff. Palmetto Bluff is about 20 miles from Hilton Head Island and the drive usually takes around 30 minutes, depending on where you are going on the Island.

Sea Pines

Harbour Town:

  • This is quintessential Hilton Head. If you make the trip to the Island, we highly recommend a walk through Harbour Town.  There is a great view from the top of the lighthouse, restaurants, shops and a wonderful, newly built playground.  Click HERE to see the water sport activities available in Harbour Town!  Rent wave runners or go parasailing!
*Palmetto Bluff offers a daily water shuttle to Harbour Town (9:30 AM departure and 3:30 PM return)
 

South Beach:

  • Home of the Salty Dog and located at the southern most tip of Hilton Head Island, South Beach boasts shops, restaurants and their famous parrots that reside outside of The Salty Dog store.  This is another great location for water sports.  Click HERE to learn more.
